When the cherries flower.

"When was she born?
In the third month
When the cherries flower.
That's why her face
Is cherry pink"

"I love pink, I think it's a color that's a bad rap, its made out to be a thing for babies or women who wear too much makeup, but pink is really a subtle and delicate color, and it figures a lot in japanese poetry."
-Paloma Josse

I regularly find myself falling in love with colours, so when the wonderful Leith Clark posted this quote on twitter at the start of the month I've since been going weak at the knees for the prettiest colour of all.

Girl of my dreams.

How delightful are these portraits taken from issue 15 of Lula, they make my heart melt.
The expression, the hair - it is beyond a dream. And although I always get flushes of girlish excitement when a new issue comes out, this time the anticipation kicked in early after hearing that Ellen Rogers had taken some photographs for issue fifteen. Ellen is a wonderful friend who's beautiful work I always thought would lend itself to such a wonderful magazine.
Below is my favourite, isn't it just lovely?

Tim and Alice.

"Every girl or boy I photograph is Alice."

Yesterday Tim took Karl around his new exhibition and spoke about fairy tales, beautiful clothes and what the exhibition meant to him. I was lucky enough to attend and I'm really excited to share this wonderful insight in to Tim's work.

Read the first of the interviews here.

Tim Walker, Story Teller.

Here are a few pictures from the new Tim Walker exhibition, Story Teller, at Somerset House which opens tomorrow (18th October). The exhibition is the natural successor to Tim's last show at The Design Museum, featuring select photos and props from some of Walker's most infamous shoots.
Its's incredible; if you can, please go and see it for yourself.

Kinfolk, Drying herbs.

I'm completely smitten with this collaboration between
Amy Merrick and Parker Fitzgerald for Kinfolk magazine.

This is everything that I want Autumn to be.
